Cams 1995 S14 Silvia K's
Righto, well here's my daily driver. Have had this car for circa 5 years now and have no plans to sell it any time in the near future. It's been an awesome car to drive every day and it was pretty quick (considering the spec) around the track too. Here's the list of mods that were current up until about 2 months ago. See the posts below to see what happened. Photos are all pretty old now but its still the same but with shitter paint now....

• 3-3.5" Exhaust System
• No Cat
• Stainless Dump Pipe
• Apexi Power Intake Filter
• Apexi AVC-R Boost Controller, 0.65 - 0.85 Bar
• HKS BOV with custom turbo-IC pipe
• HPI Engine Damper
• NGK Iridium Plugs
• Amsoil 2000 series/Mobil One synthetic oil
• The biggest Ryco oil filter that will fit
Exterior/Suspension:
• Navan kit with spoiler
• 17†Sebring ITC wheels
• Goodyear Eagle F1's, 225/45/R17 Front & Rear
• Tein Type HA Coilovers with Camber Plates
• Cusco front & rear strut braces
• Aluminium subframe collars
• Adjustable rose jointed tension rods
• Adjustable rose jointed rear camber arms
• Adjustable rose jointed rear toe arms
• S15 Torsen Diff with Redline Shockproof Oil
• Mintex M1166 Front Pads on standard rotors (pads tend to vary over time)
• Metalking Rear Pads (shit!), also on standard rotors
Interior:
• Apexi Turbo Timer
• AVC-R Boost Controller
• Autometer Boost Gauge (currently not in the car)
• RaceTech 4009 Seat on modified Bride rail
• Alpine Headunit
• Infinity Kappa 6.5" Splits - Front

Here's some action shots from my first track experience. This was at Taupo Track 2 on Sep 16 (2006). Had a awesome day and managed to get some alright times even with my insanely overheated tyres Towards the day i was managing high 1:25's, maybe even mid-to-low 1:25's but not sure due to not getting many timed laps.
Entering the pit straight. Hitting the limiter in 2nd and into 3rd
Mid way down pit straight. About 120-130k by this point, shifting slightly short into 4th before the hairpin.
Hunting down the R33 between corners 2 and 3. All 3rd gear through this section, being careful of oversteer due to HOT tyres.

And now for the update....
Coming home from work about 2 months ago, cruising along minding my own business in flowing but dense traffic in a 50km zone. I wouldv'e been doing about 30, the lady in front of me is paying even less attention than I am and has to come to an abrupt stop, I missed this for a split second and by the time I got off the acc and on the picks it was too late. Hit her at <10km but that was enough to do more than enough damage for my liking. It was totally my fault, I was following too close considering the amount of attention I was paying.... Shit happens though, now its time for some upgrades
First up, the damage:
Right, so we have many damaged parts. The list is something like this:
Both headlights
Both parking lights
All four indicators to varying degrees
Grill
Radiator
AC Radiator
Bumper
RH guard (maybe LH one too)
Bonnet (well fucked)
Bumper support bar
Bumper irons (could be fixed but would rather not)
Bonnet latch
And the big one - the radiator support panel is bent pretty bad (beyond my panel beating skills)
So what do you do when you crash your car and have no insurance?? Obvious really, spend lots of money to make it even better than before. See the following posts for the repair process.

Pics of replacing the radiator support panel... I purchased a bare nose cut from a wreckers for $250 and swapped the support panel across. To remove the original I ground down the spot welds so that the metal behind was not damaged. On the nose cut I drilled out the spot welds instead. This way I simply had to fill up the holes with weld. Easy peasy

It's been a while since I've posted an update but lots has gone on. The cars now running (ie. driveable but no front panels) which is a pretty huge step. I painted the engine bay outside in the cold here at home with the help of my old man. It went well considering the conditions (it started raining in middle of spraying the etch primer).
Next step is to fit up the kit and then paint the rest of the car, or fit up the kit, get a warrant and drive it unpainted for a while. I'm undecided what the best option is at this stage, all i know is that i want to be able to drive my car again!

What is with the weird pipe on the intake? for a plumb back bov or what?
