And the latest, greatest, a 1996 Nissan Avenir with SR20DE (or some thereof...) engine! Woooo hooo.
Bought out of pity for a poor tourist who got ripped off by a mongrel Arab in South Auckland. You'll keep.
This one is destined for the crusher. Or something. We'll see. Maybe some development first? Driving lessons? Not sure.

Re: Fred's Garage, the never ending story!
Drove all 8 legal cars yesterday, including the smoker, and the two knockers. Also towed both of my trailers, the caravan, and my old general purpose trailer.
Only missing out on a little thrash were:
1) Suzuki, stuck on friend's back lawn needing some panel love and some reassembly
2) Starlet, stuck in garage needing a tiny bit of MIG love and some reassembly
3) BMW 750 V12, covered up outside without a battery, and highly risky to drive without lights/panels/etc
Also not driven, but not possible to drive (others are, even if dodgy):
1) Ute, still headless after hampton session, needs reassembly and more mods
2) 1954 VW beetle, in storage, need assembly and rust repairs etc
3) 1961 VW beetle, ditto
Not a bad effort! :-D

With a blown head gasket or cracked head. Runs fine, but blows white clouds, and idles roughly as it ingests bulk water. Will give it a new thread and link here shortly. TODO:

Another non-purchase post, oh my, what could this mean? https://twitter.com/FredCookeNZ/status/ ... 6695913472
9 car day! :-D
8 legal, plus Suzuki without intercooler installed, making "I've got a pod filter" type noises and spooling to infinity (didn't rev it hard enough to do damage and stayed away from WOT).
Need the KP back and the ute reassembled to max it out at 11. Larger numbers can only come later when I put some VW beetles back together.
10 could happen by the end of the year, though :-D
