my review of innovate controllers.
3 dead sensors
one 4.2 lasted a year
one 4.2 lasted 30 minutes
one 4.9 lasted a week
great when it works. not so great when yo have to replace sensors more often than oil change

is the new LC-2 more reliable and doesn't eat sensors as quick as MTX-L?

That's pretty bad.
Did you run all of those sensors on the same MTX-L ? i.e. Did you do the firmware upgrade and set the sensor type to LSU4.9 with the tool?
The LC-2 appears to be the same HW as the MTX-L. ( See my earlier posts with the pictures )
My LC-2 failed the firmware update process. Not sure if it is a probem with my specific unit, or serial number range.
Does your installation have unusually wide EGT ranges ? ( turbos, rotaries, etc. ) That seems to cause problems with the Innovate controllers. Usually, requiring one of these: http://www.ebay.com/itm/262318166554

Its stock type-r motor honda stock o2 location

Maybe during initial run im street tuning it as i drive to work and back on the weekends
So it sees 13-15.5 afr but thats no worse than turbo cars

I meant EGT temperatures. But, if it is a stock installation, those SHOULD be reasonable.So it sees 13-15.5 afr but thats no worse than turbo cars

how wide egt swing are you talking about?
can you put it in AFR numbers? and how fast?
besides crappy controlled I don't see what can possibly damage it
unless someone can tell me what could cause the afr to slowly creep up to 22.4 and stay there as I drive and then stay at 22.4 even after recalibration

EGT = Exhaust Gas Temperature. So, it is in degrees F or degrees C, not AFR.how wide egt swing are you talking about?

Usually, it is large temperature swings that damage sensors. Hence, the turbos and rotary engines.
AFR/Lambda swings should not affect the sensor, adversely.
Your creeping AFR reading sounds like the result of a fractured sensor ceramic element. That is almost always temperature related.
Thermal shock, of some kind. Heating up the sensor before starting the engine can cause this. Or, running the sensor temperature regulation too cold.
In any case, if it has happened that many times in the same installation, it is likely to happen again.

Now it moves only when i accelerate and then release the gear and let it drop to idle
Then it will go down to normal afr for a second and go back to 22.4
I left it with ignition on just to see if it moves and it started going down after about 5 min and stopped at 17.4 afrwhen engine was off
I already sent the swnsor for warranty replacement so hopefully i get a replacement
But i just wanted to figure out the problem
Its a same exact car that 4.2 lasted on for slightly over a year. Nothing changed except the sensor to 4.9
Then it will go down to normal afr for a second and go back to 22.4
