Current status:

Looking forward to tomorrow.
-Jeff
- All four injectors are wired up (1 to Q1, 4 to Q2, 3 to Q3, 2 to Q4) and jumped accordingly
- Changed the scheduling config from 8 to 4 so as to disable them while I get ignition timing close
- Have my old EeePC with great battery life loaded with a fresh Debian/LXDE/EMStudio install and ready to go

Looking forward to tomorrow.

Re: 2003 Toxic Tacoma
My neighbor was available this afternoon and we knocked out the degree offset: -100 (0x32C8)
Here's the drawing I was going to use to indicate timing degree locations, but it became more of a scratch page:

There were two issues that complicated earlier findings:
The injectors have been re-enabled in code and all that's left is to set up a couple cameras and get Fred on Skype. I hope not to disappoint.

There were two issues that complicated earlier findings:
- The boot on the sparkplug wasn't getting a tight enough fit, so the timing light wasn't strobing well
- Coupled with the above, I wasn't seeing the pulley's rear timing mark reliably after dealing with 20-30deg changes
The injectors have been re-enabled in code and all that's left is to set up a couple cameras and get Fred on Skype. I hope not to disappoint.

Re: 2003 Toxic Tacoma
BTW, this is correctly written as 260 degrees offset. -100 is a relative term from where you started (IE, zero). New S19 available for you to use soon, and let's go through your config later if you have time and I'm free too. Or tomorrow night (or soon) if not.ToxicGumbo wrote:My neighbor was available this afternoon and we knocked out the degree offset: -100 (0x32C8)

Re: 2003 Toxic Tacoma
And here's the "first start" video! Apologies to DeuceEFI and malcom2073--in my excitement/delirium, I failed to offer a proper "thanks" as planned.

Fred looked the datalog over and provided recommendations about improving idle and fuel delivery at start. It's clear, too, that MAP is reading just fine despite what's seen in earlier logs. Tomorrow evening I'll load his latest s19 file, make these suggested changes, and get started with the wideband O2 sensor installation.
