Countries Where FreeEMS Code Has Been Built! (56k maybe...)

Post by Fred »

This thread is to get a feel for the international nature of the code and also to encourage people to build it and play with it :-)

For instructions on how to set the build environment up under windows see this thread :

http://www.diyefi.org/forum/viewtopic.php?f=8&t=508

0.0.17 will need some make file modifications, or you can PM or email me to get a more recent snapshot as the others have been using.

I've built the code in England everywhere between Liverpool Street station London and Banbury repeatedly.

Post your terminal screen shot showing a build success and a description of where you are in the world :-)

It is best to save it as PNG not JPG as it will be clearer and if its just text and squarish, smaller too probably.

I've built the code in Montreal, Canada. It was built under cygwin on Windows XP. I had to adjust a couple of things in the Makefile because I'm using my old MS2/extra setup.

Here's a snapshot:

I should point out that he was the guinea pig for the windows build and that we had issues because of the unknowns at that time. This was before I did the write up above. Also, he's no noob, he's got more MS installs and engine swaps under his belt than most!

Loving the desktop pic, very "you" ;-)

I've built FreeEMS code in many parts of North America including but not limited to :
  • San Diego (Abe's place)
  • Cinders Park (2 hours north of Phoenix)
  • New Market Toronto Canada
  • Staten Island New York City
  • Corner of 1st and 23rd Manhattan New York City
And certainly other places too, but none that I remember right now.

From the 11th floor in NYC on Windows 7 Ultimate, though :
