Thank you for your flawed tree! I offered to build it for you :-p Thus 3 days is reduced to three seconds and the options are equivalent. But whatever you want, I guess.

How about this, we get the loom setup so it's correct and mint, then we set two timers, and you open the box, remove the unit, plug it in, plug in the USB, turn on the PC and start configuring/tuning it while I finish building yours, giving it a small pigtail loom/plug/socket thingy. If you don't get it running before I finish finishing your box, your timer pauses, and I get a turn while you watch, after putting the laptop down. If/when I get it to fire up, we immediately kill it, and unplug, then you get another turn, and we see how long it takes. We could video the entire thing and it could be a good laugh, especially if we're both drinking :-D

All this talk of taking turns and watching one another makes me wonder what depraved pass times you've picked up in your European travels!
It wouldn't be very DIYEFI, it'd be GF2DIEFI, which is pretty catchy.
You could have a go at reflowing my graphics card on my laptop, that'd be handy, since I was incapacitated I couldn't return it to the seller in time. Just get the heat gun and bake that bugger :P Then I'll have a laptop to put down!
I wonder where my through hole stuff is..........
