Feeler For Interest In Next 10 Of Andy's 0.6-alpha Jaguar

If you want to sell that old MegaSquirt or Link hardware, here's the place to try.

Is there any PCB left? Without any components should do :)

Just a reminder, there are an infinite number left, they've not been finalised yet, and not been made yet. Some bullet-proofing testing is going on right now (BIG Thanks Andy!) and it shouldn't be too long (2 weeks or so?) before some get ordered.

If you order without SMD components you also need one of these: http://www.coolefi.com/usbdm.php

For everyone else, a certain amount of patience will be necessary as demand seems to be exceeding Andy's supply of time. I guess others such as me could step up to do the SMD work or all work for people for a fee/donation as well as Andy, but I'm personally too busy until January or so.

Once things are ready to go, Andy can start a new thread with info on options/prices/quotas (willing to do X smd, Y full, Z parts, W blank) and we can get confirmations and figure out the order quantity required. Looks like we may need to get 30, which is a bit scary, more could be ordered later if there are no flaws found, or a new version could be spun for testing if flaws are found.

Read these for more info:

I think I can borrow this one: http://www.pemicro.com/products/product ... duct_id=33
Would that be compatible or is the USBDM preferable over the PE Micro device?

Some waiting is no issue, with more projects than time available ;) I've ordered 5 S912XDP512F0MAL CPU's.. as I only need one and one for spare, perhaps I can give 'the community' 2 or 3 back for testing or development?

PE one works, but you may need codebloatier to use it. USBDM is usable on Linux and Winblows. Will PM you.

I quite interested in just the board and the BOM (smd only or whatever is convenient)

I think it's time I learn how to solder SMD stuff. I have a friend with RSI who can no longer do it but is wilingl to teach me
(and its not Fred!)

so yea, however it comes, I'm still keen as mustard.
And besides its supposed to be DIY, not DSOIY (Do some of it yourself) so I'd rather provide as much of the doing as I am capable.

I think I take 2 as well. Ordered some flux already.. I guess it is the best reason to start learning soldering SMD =]

How much is shipping to the Netherlands?

@Matthijs
Maybe we should have our boards shipped together...
