The next video on the old diyefi channel will be a commentary of the last 4+ years and an announcement that the channel will not be used for FreeEMS videos anymore. Future FreeEMS videos will be on the as-yet-unused FreeEMS youtube channel. If you're subscribed to the old one, it's going to get a bit quiet there. You might want to add the new channel to your subscriptions in advance. DIYEFI.org related videos will still be broadcast there, and likely some special announcements about FreeEMS that are news worthy, too. Run of the mill awesome car videos of stuff running and performing brilliantly shall now be found here:

Slacker Sunday wasn't much of a success and Monday was a public holiday here (and the US). Instead I've been making steady but slow progress on the site generation stuff. I have a small site to release soon, and then the freeems.org stuff will get a make over. Will be nice to have some structure and process to all of the sites, they've been a hand written hand maintained mess for far too long. Hopefully I can release the small site by the end of tomorrow. I also need to spend some time in the post office tomorrow. It'll be good to get those things out of the way and move onto some real work again by Wednesday. Off to bed now, perhaps for a bit more site gen fiddling, or perhaps for some needed wrist-rest. johntramp would place money on the former, and tonight, he's likely right. Though recently I've been leaving the laptop out of the bedroom to prevent myself from misusing it.

I have all of my firmware git stuff in order now!

Image

Top four will stay temp and keep getting rebased as required. I'll keep stuff up to date as possible rather than letting it fade away. If I do this, I'll delete unrequired stuff as I go, which is good. Reality = old temp commits become incompatible and irrelevant. Thus branches should be maintained up to date, or ditched. The lower two need to be completed and pushed. The sensor one first, and a few others in between and then then slow sync one.

The only other messy stuff present in the network view is Sean's stuff which, as far as I'm concerned, can stay a mess until the binutils stuff is nailed.

As part of the clean up I got Andy's Deuce config included in master. About time... I won't let them lag behind like that again. Config changes too rapidly and it just becomes a pain.

Have been soldering, skyping, 1-finger typing, cleaning, reading, reviewing, etc. Might do some experiments tomorrow, though it is "Slacker Sunday" :-p We'll see. Off to write a short list.

Wrote a thread on power enrichment, with one hand, over 1.5hrs: viewtopic.php?f=8&t=1768

And drew a diagram to contribute to Hentai's "THIS is how MAF should be, bitches!" thread: viewtopic.php?p=26969#p26969

Isn't it pretty? /me bows... :-/

The only testing that got done was of the mattress :-o

I finally got around to stitching together Sean's first start clips into one publishable-ish video!

Available in his FreeEMS-vehicle thread here: viewtopic.php?p=27018#p27018

This is the first footage available of virgin vanilla code running the Camaro, I hope you enjoy it! :-)

This is the last interesting video for the old channel. Once again, please subscribe to the new channel to be notified of new vids as they get uploaded!

I attached the firmware to a kick-start bike tonight and took some readings. Need to hone the sync and output stuff to get that to start first try. Will review the data tomorrow. Might be time for bed soon, it's after 4am...

Spent the last few hours on skype with Mike making epic progress in EMStudio development. Full credit for being such a good bastard to work with. We're very close to having FULL freeems editing capability, a first for any app to date, and in such a short time frame, top work!

In other news, I've been mitigating disk space issues. I acquired a NAS and have been ripping files out of all of my computers into it in an organised way. I SHOULD HAVE DONE THIS YEARS AGO. Brilliant. Started with music and video. Next up is HUGE photograph and self made vid collection, that needs more thought, though.

Bed time!
