Are you jumpering the SM switch pin? If not, do so, otherwise what you say about the PLL will be true, and the SM may never run (or try to run). Just a thought.

yep. Using a jumper. I am going to order the right parts soon and see if that helps.

Does the SM use the PLL or just the Xtal ?

I ordered a new Xtal and some caps for the PLL today. I also ordered the FT232.

My MAX9924 samples finally showed up today.

The FT232 and the 74HC86D I ordered yesterday arrived this morning before I left for work. Dam that was fast.

The other parts are on back order.

Shit! I guess I will need to get you some working missing tooth code soonish then :-/

Sean's car takes priority code wise, for now, but after that, anyone with hw attached to an engine gets some attention/work done.
