Hi,
I'm very interested in FreeEMS project. I have some experience in embedded programming and firmware hacking and a bit less experience in electronics
Also I have a restored Ford Fiesta Mk1 bodyshell with some XR2 parts and a 1.6 Ford CVH engine to put into...
So... I've got some from Freescale (for free ):

it's a 144-pin version (MC9S12XDP512MAG), not 112-pin as on Adapt9S12XDP512M2 board, I'm wondering - is there any scematics and PCB layout to DIY a prototype board with 144-pin CPU possibly ready for fitting into future FreeEMS "main" board?

Re: DIY CPU PCB (Adapt board from scratch)
Hi,
Yes I also got 4 free samples, 2 x 144Pin MC9S12XDP512MAG and 2 x 112Pin MC9S12XDP512MAL.
I'm currently routing a development PCB using one of the 112 pin devices to assist in some code testing.
The board I am working on to run my BMW M50 engine will eventually use a 144Pin device and the Type B thread is found here:

I haven't posted up the Dev PCB i'm working on yet I hope to over the weekend.
The Type B has so far been created in KiCAD with the 112Pin device, but the final production level spin of the board will be routed in PADS and use the 144Pin.
I will post up any overlays and circuit diagrams I make along the way.
