Jared, why did you need to make the PIP FET? It's just a to220 part with a particular pinout as shared with heaps of other FETs too. Are there no suitable to220 devices in the package?

Sorry my bad. For the PIP I modified the name, so it's the same symbol. I know there were three modified symbols however, and that changed triggered me to think it was the PIP. The other symbol was the MAP sensor. The MPX4100A.

Basic overview, three new symbols for this project so far, and I wouldn't expect to find them in other software packages. So I'd claim the libraries that come with KICAD are fairly good to start with.

I'm glad to hear you are happy with it :-) It is one of the only OS tools suitable for this task so we need to use it to keep consistent with the goals of the project : accessibility to everyone without performance compromise.

I'd say KICAD is much easier then GEDA, but missing some handy features often found in programs like PADS and Protel. I'd say it's a great tool for free, no complaints from me.
