Re: 40pin-6 board
Should be any free pin. Advised pins are those with least use. One of the port A pins, perhaps? Or another PWM pin (for interrupt capability)? Or whatever is easiest to route to? Or an analogue pin, which can be used as digital inputs too? Choose one and I'll OK it :-)

Re: 40pin-6 board
I mean, typically so far any pin used for GP output is configured like this:
address of port
bit mask of pin
So literally any pin can be used for outputs, inputs will be the same way.

Re: 40pin-6 board
Max chip still not triple decoupled. This IS important, the max chip clamps it's inputs through the power supply pins, so they are decoupled to protect the CPU, not to protect the max chip.
Good choice of pin for input.
Take a look at max chip schem in Jaguar, and read the notes, there are limitations of simple topologies here too. It's OK as is, but could be better with more parts, however maybe that's not what you need. Reference: viewtopic.php?f=9&t=1675
Looking OK. Final check by Dan and Andy before going to be made would be wise. I'll email them.
Could you also donate me the parts to populate it? Or I can pay you and you order them? I don't mind assembling/soldering it myself, but have none of that stuff on hand AFAIK.
