Hold on a second, such a packet should never have made it through, I need more info! Is that length the actual length (not possible) or the reported length (it would be more likely for me to be killed by lightning in the next 5 minutes than this not be true). You should really just reject it and spit out "length field mismatch with actual length" error or something equivalent. It should be easy to fix, one moment.

the packet length is 101 bytes as it said in the debug message, but the header WITHIN the packet says the payload is way larger than it should be....
