Thanks for the datalog ideas :-) I had some posts AGES ago on that subject, but it lost importance and they got buried.
I've setup a new thread discussing weaknesses in the current serial stuff here :

I'd love to hear your feedback and input along with Stu, Delta, and anyone else with an opinion.
