Large table usage suggestion free for all!!

Post by Fred »

Like it says, make all your suggestions, I'll add them to a list up the top here and try to keep quiet :-)

All tables referenced by RPM versus Load except where noted.
  • VE tables
    • 2 banks of tables for table/fuel switching (any reason to have 3+?)
    • 2 tables per bank for V/boxer/twin/siamese/etc use (other uses needing more than 2?)
  • Ignition advance
    • 2 banks of tables for table/fuel switching (any reason to have 3+?)
    • 2 tables per bank for V/boxer/twin/siamese/etc use (other uses needing more than 2?)
  • Fuel advance * 4 (v/boxer/twin/sia/etc * 2 X staged injection * 2)
  • Lambda * 2 (table/fuel sw)
  • Explicit 3d dwell table * 1 (RPM versus Voltage)
Fine print (obscured because it shouldn't affect your brain storming) :

Limitations of space (which you don't really need to know about) :
32 - 8 = 24
24 / 1 = 24 (duh) conventional tables able to be paged through 6 window slots 4 at a time

However, if we go to a points based system later, it might be better to use more space for the structure at which point it could become 12 or 6 big tables. Of course, not all of them NEED to be that type (only advance and VE really)

Go nuts!

oxygen level adjustment. So if you know you're in an area with 20% O2, vs say Japan with less then 15%.

I should clarify :

By large table I mean full size primarily with RPM and Load as indices. IE, things that require mapping in 3d with respect to detailed operating conditions. Such an oxygen percentage would be a fixed trim over all values and the injector dead time is 2d defined by voltage only.

If I said large subwoofer I wouldn't mean 10" ;-) Large turbo to me is HX52, not HE351 etc :-)
