Load-firmware question

Post by jiutian0428 »

now,I am fascinated by FreeEMS and got some question.I can load freeems.serial.monitor.s19 file ,but I can't load the firmware, the error is:
when use mtx:
Error code 0x00
Prompt was expected to be ">" but returned as "Attempting Wakeup...
error reading errorCode
error reading statusCode
error reading prompt
Error code 0x00
Prompt was expected to be ">" but returned as "Could not wake up processor, try jumpering
the boot jumper and power cycling the ECU...

when use FreeEMS-Loader:
FreeEMS--DEFAULT-BenchTest.s1908-02-2013-16-39-12-replaced-with-FreeEMS--DEFAULT-BenchTest.s19'
Data read, but it was not a serial monitor ACK
Unable to summon SerialMonitor
closing serial port

I really don't know what the question is ,can you help me? thank you very much!

Maybe you didn't load the serial monitor correctly? Are you using the correct CPU? Any other details? If you have a BDM, which you must if you claim to have loaded the SM, then you can also load firmware with it, though it shouldn't be necessary. If you do this, you have to load BOTH SM and FW at the same time or without erasing the other, at least. Finally, use the seank-hacked SM from here:

And welcome to our third Chinese user? :-)

I doult that I didn't load the serial monitor correctly too!CPU is correct, and I can load my own test firmware in CodeWarrior for windows IDE by a BDM,also SM.The strange thing is that I have loaded SM and firmware successfully some weeks ago,but now I can't.I have tried the seank-hacked SM,and failed again. So annoyed to me.
I dont have that extra money for a car,but if allowed,I'll hava a try later.You are really a great man,Fred,thanks. :D :D

Which BDM and which BDM software. Not all S19 files are equal. Not all BDMs are equal. Not all BDM software is equal.

Made in China is fine, CodeWarrior is useless. It's probably unhappy with the S19 variant format. Pick up a USBDM unit and use that software, you'll *probably* be happier.

USBDM is a hardware software combination that works on windows and linux. The term "pick up" means "buy".

Here's a USA made USBDM for 32USD http://www.coolefi.com/usbdm.php
