I was able to recreate your MSVC runtime error. I was unable to repeat it in RC5 :) . The serial settings are an odd thing. It responds to BAUD, but not anything else. I'll try with a different adapter, this adapter wont even work with EMStudio under Linux, due to the fact that you cant get ODD parity set.

Also forgot to mention the program should ask you what to name the file whenever you rip it, when I selected rip and verify burn it just rip the file and named it the same name as the one I was installing.

It does, when you explicitly click rip. The rip before load is just an automatic, in the event that you realize you made a mistake after the fact. However, I will add a user-specified setting for it.

Before I do all this, can you windows guys please download and run this: http://powerefi.com/files/FreeEMS-Loade ... irTest.exe and paste the "Home Dir ...." output in this thread.

thx

Sean, I get /Users/User for this box. CMD opens in there, and java and olv and bash and gimp and who knows what else also use it.

I'd say that you're on the right track with it!

Also, $(HELPURL) same for about and update, you should set those all to the forum general freeems section for the time being. They are visible in the remove programs window. Also, this one the size doesn't show up at all, just blank might be a win defect, tho.
