FreeEMS_Loader

Post by Bangbug »

Holy heck, dust off your boots someone's playing with a Puma!
Well, "playing" aka A toddler grappling with a loaded gun which he's mistaken for a bottle.

This is a rather special thread, as it's really just for one person.

Dear Sean,
Could you find it in your heart to compile a windows version of your FreeEMS loader that'd be spectacular.
Kind regards,
Me.

I heard you sigh from here, Winblows, WHO USES WINBLOWS!

Well most people do.
I have my parents running linux (because when filthy people ring up and tell them they are from X and Y Ltd and that they need to check their computer... it confuses them as there is NO START BUTTON TO PRESS, lol (true story)), but I have to run windows because I have many and varying things hooked up too, and installed on my computer to talk to my other computer and run my machines etc.

Yes, I could also install linux and run it side by side/instead of on the same system because linux is awesome.
But what would be more awesome would be an installer FOR windows because there are probably many like me and it'll prove useful in the future to build on (possibly, lol).

and if you have already fallen madly truly deeply in love with me already, Win 7 Home Premium 64bit. :P

Oh i gave the QT thing a go... but I'm DREADFULLY out of practice and instead yelled my commands at the computer.
Which got me nowhere, but I am looking forward to my monitor petri dish experiment.

False!

He did last night, and, at 2am, I tested it for you. In Spanish. On the wife's machine. It didn't work.

He then, after I went to bed, promised to upload a new one:

(02:58:40) seank-efi: trying to upload a new winbin via 3g....
(03:02:13) seank-efi: junk, ill have to upload when i get home
(03:13:44) seank-efi left the room (quit: Ping timeout: 250 seconds).

But didn't. One can only assume, based on past experience, that he fell asleep. Though I can think of a few other possible reasons too, so we'll cut him some slack. At least until confession time :-)

True. Which is why Dave's "beg for your win installer" childish games are such a big deal/deal breaker.

True.

Irrelevant, but thanks, as such details are often important <3

Guilty as charged......

Indeed, I know this one-off WinBin will get you going sooner.

Try this, I added the -static-libgcc -static-libstdc++ stuff. g++ said "-static-libstdc++" was invalid though.... I suspect that I will need to resolve that before it works as a standalone Bin.

Whats the exact error message? I'm going to have to push that dll in a zip file with the exe, I'm tired of looking at broken documentation.

Dodgy, but OK for a short term fix, I guess. Very short term.

Yours? :-p
No, cross-tools docs.

Save this file in the same dir that you saved the loader's exe file to.

http://powerefi.com/files/libgcc_s_dw2-1.dll

Once we get it verified, I'll post a zip.
