I think there is user for testers with an 8-ch LA. We just can't have them test HIGH numbers of scheduled events.

"Again, post here if you qualify and aren't listed, or are listed and don't want to be involved, or are listed and want to confirm, not otherwise."

How're your eyes doing? :-p

8 channel isn't useless, however we know that it'll work fine at low counts, we need to test our worst case performance, not best case. The test team should be able to test usable configurations. Minimum for that is 10 for a properly setup 4 cylinder, so 8 doesn't even cut it for that. 8 only cuts it for moderate testing and specific dev of other stuff.

You should put a link to this thread in the first post of its mate. :)

Is the Saleae $215 better than the Dangerous Prototypes LA?

There wasn't supposed to be a comments thread :-p I just would have felt too bad deleting Sean's wayward post.

It's probably smoother/nicer. The seeed one doesn't have a case for example. The UI for the seed one isn't as nice either, but it is FOSS so it could be made nicer.

Don't feel the need to burn money on gear right now. There are enough with enough gear already and the requirement for it is a month or 6 away anyway.
