Neat! How many did you get made? Do I get a blank souvenir? :-D

For future spins you need to choose a name for it. It's ok to put FreeEMS on it, but not as part of the name. Something like "Designed for FreeEMS" or similar is appropriate. Same goes for ruzki, and everyone else, too.

How about EmmEssFree? A play on MS3 and speech impediments :-)

Fred.

Sure! I got ten boards so there are some spares. I can probably arrange an assembled board for you if think you would have use for it.

I know. I just have poor imagination and couldn't come up with any sensible name. Not a bad suggestion, I'll think about it :)

If you're keeping this MS3 compatible, where's the stepper driver and CAN chip?

Or am I going blind in my old age? :D

The CAN chip is there, page 3 of the schematic. I dropped off the stepper driver since I haven't seen any plans to support it in the firmware (of course I might be wrong on this).

Some progress. I assembled the first board. After some struggling I managed to flash the bootloader on it and load benchtest code in. Then I was able to connect it with the EMStudio. Wohoo! I guess the next step is to learn how to make my own build configurations and put together a code version that allows testing with real engine.

Arttu, do you have the design files available for this daughter card you designed? I only find the pdf versions. I really like what you did and want to do something similar and your design will be a great starting point.

Some test done with this. Works trigger in and gives pulse out from ignition and injectors channels. Outputs is tested only with scope. Next thing to test via Emstudio, when get some time.
