Dan, I think I got a good news.
I went to Chentian Village in Guangzhou today.
I bought a RB25DET S2 today. But the f**king seller had no stock ECU with it.
He gave me an other ECU that was used in an other engine but could work in RB25DET.
OK, back to the theme!
I asked some ECU dealer if they had some borken/damaged/mulfunction ECUs that come with that 76-pins connector and they said yes!
They got a lot of A32(Nissan Cefiro) ECUs! If I buy them in a large amount, it could be cheap for each one.
Approximately 110~120 RMB.
So, I think it must be a good news...

my second rb25det ecu has arrived.
as soon as I can, I will post up photos of the dismantling process, connector removal and PnP PCB installation
my new BDM is also in the country, I expect it to arrive today / tomorrow

Best way to remove those connectors intact would be a solder bath, shame it's not exactly the equipment most people have at home (al least I dont).. Might be worth considering if you plan to build more of these boards this way (assuming you cant source that connector).

I will be using a Hakko soldering station to remove the connector, it has a vacuum de-soldering gun
It has worked flawlessly for me with many other components/connectors so it should work well with this one too!

Depends on how tight the connector pins fit the through holes. If they have a (near) interference fit, it is almost impossible to get rid of the solder between the hole and the pin. Without a solder bath you then have to bend the legs out of the holes one by one. I've seen 4age ECU connector's removed for PNP setups before so I'm assuming it is possible without special measures, but it could end up with unsightly connectors.
A solder bath is great in that it heats up all pins at the same time and keeps them warm whilst you remove the component. I used to work with them in a PCB fab when removing big inductors with huge thermal capacity off a pcb. Mentioning it here was more or less a brainfart... if the info comes in handy, thats a bonus.

I've pulled a Bosch connector out by hand without any of the above tools, and it was a HUGE pain. It took me half a day or more, and I had to rely on minute flex in the PCB to make progress. IE, flow, bend, allow to solidify, flow some nearby pins so it can spring up, repeat. Got it off looking good, though. But what a massive c**t it was to do :-)
