as part of my struggles with my "pe micro" BDM thingy I have setup a debian workstation dual booted with windows 7, to attempt to use linux to flash my cpu or atleast attempt to LOL.
At first i did a 64bit debian install, realised I shouldn't have, then scrapped those partitions and installed 32bit and thought I was going to have happy days.
I get this

when at step 9 of Andy's guide "Install linux-headers"...
any ideas people?

Re: Dan's PNP RB25DET R33 Skyline ECU PCB
My advice:
Don't use Andy's guide? It likely needs a solid polish. That package doesn't exist. Telling someone to install that package is a bad idea. Why do you even want linux headers? :-o
Follow the instructions on tools.diyefi.org and see how you get on.
apt-get install -f
^ this will get dependencies to missing stuff
dpkg -i emstudio.deb loader.deb
^ this will cause missing stuff to be missing (do this first)
Fred.

Ok I will run those tonight and see how I get on
Thanks Mr Fred

Re: Dan's PNP RB25DET R33 Skyline ECU PCB
Still no love from my "piece-of-shit micro" err umm I mean "pe micro" USB BDM.
I have sent messages to DeuceEFI chasing one of his BDM's, hopefully that will solve all my dramas.
In the mean time I will be installing the remaining components on the first alpha RB25DET PnP board and cleaning it in isopropyl etc.
*video of me pissing on, followed by me smashing, my pe micro BDM imminent*

Please keep your family jewels just out of camera shot. Keen for Oz-spec vids, though :-D

Re: Dan's PNP RB25DET R33 Skyline ECU PCB
getting code onto the cpu is still proving difficult.
Andy, can you please email me RE: normal postage options available to get one of your BDM's to me?
If that fails, I guess the only option I have is to do a "Spin 2" using the 114pin CPU variant, at least I know that communicates with the BDM I have and Andy's

"only option" ???
If you'd pulled your beer-soaked finger out of your arse weeks ago, you'd have had it to me, fixed, and back to you by now, twice. :-p Likewise Andy's cheaper offer would have arrived by now, too. In any case, it's STILL not your only option. For the record, newer 112 pin chips can have the offending ID too...
Why not post it to me now as is and we'll see what happens?

Re: Dan's PNP RB25DET R33 Skyline ECU PCB
Andy only offered me a price with rocket-ship freight ($85USD or something like that) because I was going to rush it at the time of asking, I forgot to ask him for regular/semi-express postage prices.
I need a working BDM anyway, as I will probably run a group buy of these and I will need to load code. I should have a working one as a dev anyway.
I kindly await your response Andy!

He's pretty busy so you will probably need to contact him on IRC or via pm.
