Firstly, thank you very much to all of those who contributed to this excellent gift! <3 It means a lot to me.
Secondly, I see a lot in the future of this box, so I feel like I should document what I do with it, both assembly/mods wise, and installs wise.
Next post will be initial build related. Subsequent posts will be about subsequent uses, most likely. But who knows! The sky is the limit with FreeEMS! :-)

Re: My Personal 0.6-alpha Build
I'm building this Jag up as bare as possible as I don't know for what it'll be used, or when the next Jag revision will come out. I may be able to save some $ by reusing parts from this kit on the next one, or an OnionBoard, perhaps.
Notes for initial assembly:
Fred.
Notes for initial assembly:
- 4 DPAK FETs installed
No DPAK related parts installed - unsure how many/if any I need - All 4 ignition drives installed
No ignition output parts installed - unsure how many/if any I need - LSD1/LSD2 drives completed
LSD1/LSD2 only have one diode each - unsure if required/not - C30 for SPR replaced with 0.22uF value
not installed - unsure if required, and which value - C31 for IAT replaced with 0.22uF value
not installed - need to choose value - R24,
R25, R31not installed, bias resistors - 2.49k installed for IAT/CHT - MAP/AAP not installed, unsure if running external or not, etc
- Regulators not installed, saving for last to avoid broken leads
- 1N4007 used instead of very small diodes
- 1/4w body resistors used instead of very small 1/8w body resistors (2.4k)
- Four DPAK LED locations used for Ignition output indicators OUTSIDE the current limits
- Only one 2 pin header installed for load/run, all others omitted, I dislike installing them/think they shouldn't be included.
- C31/C30 guessed at 0.22uF
need to be tuned and different value parts included in future - Previously mentioned notes to be included for ground jumpers and RPM input parts
- 5V clamp untested, assumed working, need to test
Still need to finish the LED/output section of the RPM inputs, too.Still need to solder in the MOVConfigure RPM0 as hall/opto, leave RPM1 input unconfiguredConfigure DPAK grounds3 links added for 4 combined groundsBuy a bottle of meths and wash it down thoroughly

Re: My Personal 0.6-alpha Build
Subscribed...I went Full Monte on the D-PAKs, all 8 in hopes of a full sequential future update.
Re: My Personal 0.6-alpha Build
You can use them for 8 injectors already and control them with 4 or 2 or 1 CPU pin(s). So that was a good move if you have a V8. But that's off topic, so let's continue that discussion in your thread if necessary.

Re: My Personal 0.6-alpha Build
New TODO as the other one was getting messy after quite a few edits, see above for those:
Fred.
Ignition LEDs require signals hooking upHigh-side driver requires signal connection and LED setupRegulators need to be installedEnd plate needs to be drilled/cut and insulators affixedMAP/AAP sensors need to be added if requiredWire links from CPU pins to output drivers need to be connectedFinal wiring pigtails need to be soldered in at about 100 - 200mm longFinal alcohol bath needs to be given to remove final flux residue from pigtail solderingSome sort of connector needs to be attached to the above mentioned pigtails

Re: My Personal 0.6-alpha Build
Did some work on the old girl tonight!
Gave her a few more wires in expectation of a pair of stout connectors ready for battle. Not complete yet, though.
Also modified the CEL/load setup to be like the new 0.7 board. Put the 1k resistor where the LED was, put a header where the 1k was. Will run pins out through connector and put a switch on the case in parallel. That way the vehicle can have a remote mounted switch too and a visible LED. This will encourage me to create meaningful CEL modes other than "flash endlessly" (which will remain the default).
My HSD and LSD are going to get dual-side configured via switches on the case, too. Fuel pump and boost PWM/VTEC, Yo! will be interchangable. I might even have a 4 way dp switch that can do it all at once. Unsure.

Re: My Personal 0.6-alpha Build
+1 on the pics. I like your board builds. what type of case are you using?
Re: My Personal 0.6-alpha Build
Stock case! More work on it tonight. More tomorrow too. Gotta get it ready to roll, then swap it into the car and start adding more sensors and preparing to install the EFI gear.

Re: My Personal 0.6-alpha Build
Over the last few days/weeks, as time allowed, I drew a couple of diagrams about what I'm going to do to my Jaguar 0.6-alpha. Here they are in all of their glory:
Jaguar.switch.diagrams/switch.VR.vs.HallOpto.jpg:
Jaguar.switch.diagrams/switch.HSD.vs.LSD.FPR.vs.PWM.VTEC.jpg:
So my Jag will have 4 external switches:
1) RPM0 type
2) RPM1 type
3) Firmware Load
4) HSD vs LSD for fuel pump and PWM output, and vice versa
This combined with the free connector scheme = I can put it on any car in as long as it takes me to solder up an adaptor loom.
