Jaguar 0.6-alpha progress

Andy's GM DIS centric hardware design! Also works as a fuel controller for EDIS and distributor applications.

Since the first batch of 10 Jaguar 0.6-alpha boards have arrived and I have started to build the first one to check all the changes, here are some photos, just click on the photo to see the full size image.

A pair of fresh Jaguar 0.6-alpha boards:

Sorry for the somewhat blurry iPhone photo of testing the over-voltage clamp circuit:

Testing a theory of bending the legs on the voltage regulator to prevent stressing the solder connection if the heat sink holes are mis-aligned into a common block of alloy:

Jaguar with USBDM connected to load the Serial Monitor program:

I have tested the over-voltage clamp circuit and it does clamp the Analog-5v rail at 5.16v to 5.20v when 13.6v is applied through a 1 ohm 10W resistor to the TPS-5v output.

More photos as testing continues...

Ok, I made some more progress with my build today, again click on the photos to see the full size images:

Starting point of today with Benchtest firmware loaded and no input circuits built yet:
Image

After installing the AAP circuit components:
Image

After installing the MAP circuit components:
Image

After installing the BRV input circuit components:
Image

After installing the O2 sensor input circuit components:
Image

After installing the TPS input circuit components:
Image

After installing the IAT input circuit components:
Image

After installing the CHT input circuit components:

For those who are paying attention, I'm using an external MAP sensor on the S10, so I installed the onboard MAP sensor for testing the corrected pad traces. Good news is that both the AAP and MAP circuits work properly now. :)

Up next is testing the analog input over-voltage protection circuits before continuing the build.

Didn't you do this already?

Or do you mean at each individual analog input? (other than the TPS input that you have already tested)

Nice work mate! Keep it up! :-)

Or you are talking about the PNP clamp in your first post and now you are talking about the schottky's etc on the analog inputs?
