Yeah, poor old Rob has been fixing all of your weirdness :-) Except the pillow hugging, you need a good woman to help you fix that.

Made some good progress on the car, so I'm much closer to dropping the engine in.
I think this is the complete list for the first Jaguar/FreeEMS start:
- fuel pump wiring
- IAT sensor wiring
- idle air valve connector/wiring
- INJ leads (2) from JAG for sequential
- block ground points
- oil cooler sandwich plate loop
- complete down pipe firewall cut/mod
- CAS lock down bracket
- fuel lines
- vacuum lines

Is that an oil feed line seeming to come from the head, Rob? If so, I'd strongly recommend that you find one on the block to use instead. Turbos are journal bearing beasts and require pressure to operate. The had has limited flow and very low pressure as a result of the numerous "leaks".

List is looking short, though! All basic stuff you could knock out pretty quickly if you can escape the family and job :-) Keep it up! <3

Fred.

No that oil feed is coming from a completely separate oil system for the turbo that includes a pump, reservoir, cooler, lines and control system. Srsly? I just need a few slow days at work and and it'll be ready to crank....unless I'm missing something.

Looking for ideas on my fuel pump wiring (diagram below.) On the first gen Miata there's a dual coil relay. I have connected #11 Engine Control Unit to the Jag A3's Fuel Pump. As stock #11 Engine Control Unit is a 12v signal from the ECU when the key is in the ON/RUN position. #11 Engine Control Unit 12v signal is removed when the key is turned to the START/CRANK and the 12v is supplied by #1 STARTING SYSTEM (starter signal.)

The proposed solution is to move #11 (JAG fuel pump) to the ground side of relay (grounds #4#1). Remove #1 Starting System and connect the relay (original #11 violet Engine Control Unit) to switched 12v.

Awesome! Decoder offset us something you get while cranking without fuel. I'd like to review your files, but without fuel the worst you can do is waste time.
