Let's try this again. Here's my Jaguar A3 build!

(Warning, most of these images are in the 1.5-2.0meg range)

The other day, I got a very special package in the mail:

Inside was a little anti-static bag...

My very own Jaguar A3!!! (Serial #3)

So I sat down with my trusty soldering iron, and got started. First, the 5v CPU power supply

Then the 5v analog input power supply

Both of them finished, all nice and pretty.

Now it was time for the Battery Reference Voltage circuit

Next was the MAP circuit

You can see I had a slight issue with the alignment of the MAP sensor, I'll be desoldering it later to fix that by bending the pins out slightly.

At this point, I ran out of solder. I was very sad for a little while, but then while I was at an auction with my father, he mentioned he had some. And so I continued! More on this in the next post (after my images finish uploading)

I'm currently missing my injector driver XOR chip and a 10pF capacitor. Can't justify $4 shipping for $0.50 of components, so I'll have to wait until I can justify and afford to put in a real mouser order. Maybe I'll wait until I can purchase proper automotive connectors, wire, and an enclosure for the board... don't know yet. But I'll update here as soon as I figure out what I'm going to do.

So, Today I hooked the Jaguar up to my car! ZOMG! (Pictures coming tomorrow). Of course it did not run, I did not expect it to, and I found out a few things I did wrong.

* I have it tied to const 12V, not switch 12V. Oops. Need to fix that. Fortunately I disconnect the battery when I'm not using the car.
* I forgot to put a Run/Load header on. Fixed that real quick
* I tied P33 to P34. This is wrong. I need to tie P20 to P21, and jumper pins 1-2 3-4 5-6 and 7-8 on P34.
* My injectors use 1amp each. The stock wiring is bank fire, 1-3-5-7 are wired together, and 2-4-6-8 are wired together. If I tie each "set" to a single driver, it won't overheat the driver, but I won't get semi-sequential. I may try to run this way, just to save money and get running faster.
* Fuel pump relay mosfet is a low side switch. I need to rewrire my fuel pump relay to take advantage of this. Temporary fix would be to hardwire the fuel pump to switched 12V power

Other things that still need to be done:
* Rubber vacuum tube run for MAP sensor.
* Potentiometer hooked up to simulate IAT, since I don't yet have one. Need to get one!
* Wideband O2 wired in. It's to a gauge right now, so semi-acceptable. Datalogging would be nice.
* Proper case and connectors for ECU, so it doesn't short out
* MAF wired in, just for grins.

Couple more things done today

* Fixed the injectors so they are wired from P20 to P21, and then P34 now has the proper jumpers on it.
* Got a vacuum tube for the MAP sensor
* Started working on configuration. Think I've got it mostly figured out thanks to seank-efi!

Waiting on a decoder now :)

Does he even know how? I just checked his config and it's still broken. I'd consult someone with experience successfully running FreeEMS, such as Peter, Andy, Sim or Spudmn, if I were you. Turn on notifications on your github, too. Config changes should be announced so they can be reviewed properly.

No clue if he knows how. There's no documentation anywhere that I can find, so I asked, and he responded. Forgot to turn on github announce, it's a new fork, sorry.
