Hi,
I'm french so sorry for my bad english
I wish start my futur engine with EFI system.
I have injector, EDIS Ford and turbo.
Is the jaguar board adapt to my configuration ?
O2 sensor, MAP, throttle position, 4-stroke 1-4-3-2 (no 1-3-4-2 like in line 4cylinder engine)
Can the jaguar board control the EDIS Ford and use the 36-1 trigger wheel information from the EDIS like the megasquirt.
Thanks for your help
Matthieu

Hi, welcome!
I'm a big closet aircooled fan ;-) Please post a user's rides thread :-)
Jag can, but the firmware can't, yet. Also, jag/freeems are not user-spec yet, if you're technical and able to help test, OK. If you're just looking for a cheap solution, FreeEMS is not yet for you.

PS, which part of France? I'm 3 hours drive from the south west corner :-)

Hi,
I'm from Rouen and Bordeaux for my holiday
I have some technical possibilities but I'm not an expert
I have owned several bugs and buses
one 65 bug then a 55 oval and finally a 52 split now sold
one 69 bay window ambulance and then a 72 panel van now sold
Today no more VW, but a project :
-> Build an engine for the next, certainly an other bus or a Karmann Ghia
So I try to build a cool engine a coherent project and successful
I have read a lot of documentation about the megasquirt project and I have start my reflexion around that but I want working on an other feeling and when I have discover FreeEMS firstly with the Puma Board, I felt something to do, now with Jaguar or an other one but with philosophy of FreeEMS.
VW aircooled engine are some specification like ignition order far example
I can make test to assume the working of freeEMS on my engine

Ignition order is not a problem, I assure you. I look forward to seeing your progress!

thanks
I need to try interface Jaguar with my Ford EDIS4
If ignition is not a problem, I think that injection to
For injection no cam sensor so only semi-sequential injection not full sequential injection.
I'm waiting for a V4 of the Jaguar board or the V3 is in the main repository ?

EDIS is not currently supported. We're focusing on getting the Deuce Coupe running 100% first. Then EDIS support joins the queue. However it will be supported at some point. You could just not use it, though. FreeEMS can read your 36-1 directly and control wasted spark and semi seq directly too.

Yes, either type, ext ignitor or built in ignitor.

cool, I certainly say goodbye to my EDIS Ford and choose 4 ignition pencil coil
An other question :
Is it necessary having a TBDML to program firmware or is it possible directly program firmware with Jaguar board ?

If you buy a built or partly built Jag from Andy or someone else, you don't need a USBDM (TBDML is shit). If you do it completely from scratch, you DO need a USBDM (not a TBDML).
