KennyBug's Jaguar board build
Just go the PCB from ShenZhen. The quality is so far so good.

Re: KennyBug's Jaguar board build
My CPU arrived.
But my Farnnel order was not arrived yet. cannot kick start the build during weekend.
The legs are smaller than expected. This is my 1st time to solder such a tiny SMD.
I have to buy a new Temp. Control soldering iron, a sharp iron tip and some flux during the weekend.

Re: KennyBug's Jaguar board build
I believe that you have the wrong CPU for Jaguar. The suffix should be MAL or if you can't get MAL, then CAL, which is the lower temperature variant. I think you've got the finer pitch 144 that RavAGE uses, there. Best place another order soon if you want to assemble your Jag soon. Sorry to be the one to break the news :-(

Re: KennyBug's Jaguar board build
My 122 pin MCU arrried with transistors & diodes.
Started soldering with some passive components on PCB.
Tested my new temp. control solder station works alright.
I supposed to build 3 units with similar setup.
1 for bench test at home, 1 will put in my car.
The 3rd one will be install on my friend's racing beetle or mini

Re: KennyBug's Jaguar board build
great stuff!
Re: KennyBug's Jaguar board build
Cool stuff, Kenny! :-) I'll race ya! Cept I don't have a car/engine, yet...
One thing, please remove and bridge d43 and d44 (already installed at the regulator/usb end in the pic). Also, do not install d3. I think Andy has been updating his TODO.md file, so you should git pull his repo to bring it up to date and read that.
Can you confirm whether or not your boards have the fault with the USB traces and/or R12 and/or C1 ? If they do have those flaws, you'll want to fix them before doing any more soldering.
Keep up the good work! :-)
Fred.
