This is the place to discuss the BOM.

I have the BOM included in my github.com repository in a file called "Jaguar.ods" and it has part #'s for purchasing the components from Digikey as well as the description in case the you would like to source the components elsewhere.

If you have questions or suggestions, this is the topic for them.

Andy.

BOM and the other documents were moved to the docs directory in my repository to clean it up :-)

Since there have been no more major changes to the BOM, I have placed an order with Digikey for the components to build a pair of Jaguar boards (one at a time, home etched prototype first to test FT232RL comms to begin with...)

I should have the parts by mid-week :-)

Definately wicked!!! Shipment info shows delivery by 4pm on Wednesday, 02/08/2012 :-)

I had to re-adjust my traces (make them bigger), smallest trace is now 0.0100" wide with 0.0065" clearance.

Will etch a prototype board in the AM...

BOM updated in my github.com repository with new optocoupler for USB isolation information.

C10 and C11 need to be 22pF for the crystal to oscillate.
R62 needs to be 1M Ohm for the same reason.

The BOM and schematic have been updated on github, but the PDF version of the schematic has NOT been updated yet.

Hi guys, this is my 1st post in the HW thread.
I really like the design of Jaguar board  So, I want to build one per Andy's brilliance information.
Now I am coming across etching PCB and purchasing components for my board.

I found that the SOT223 MOSFET VNN7NV94 was "No longer manufacture" from ST.
(My vendor is Farnell, quit popular in Hongkong & Singapore)

So have have purchased the T0252 package VND7NV04 instead

I used a VNN7NV0413TR for the SOT223 MOSFET not the VNN7NV94...
But after checking with http://hk.element14.com/ the one I used isn't available...

I did find these available, but they are quite expensive:

If you do use the TO252 style, make sure you change the KiCAD module to get the right pads on your PCB. :-)

Let me know how it turns out :-)

Also, you will need to add a PNP transistor between the FTDI chip and the MCU, I will update the schematics to show you where it goes, this is a planned update to the next revision of PCB. I added the PNP transistor to my prototype board that is running my Deuce Coupe in the videos.
