Box screwed together! Still missing one connector, though. And has a small/strange problem. Testing completed thus far:

Outputs:
  • 4 ignition outputs function correctly
  • CEL output functions correctly
Yet to test:
  • 4 fuel FET outputs
  • FP output HSD and LSD configs
  • PWM1 pin HSD and LSD configs
  • Fan output on K4 (use newly working CHT to test this)
  • The LSD output on PWM3
Inputs:
  • MAP/AAP are both closeish and move appropriately with a suck on the hose
  • IAT can be shorted to 7.5V and rails its temperature
  • TPS can be shorted to 7.5V and ground and rails its output
  • Spare (MAF) works
  • Spare (MAT) works
  • BRV works fine
  • Load switch works fine
  • EGO works fine both to ground and 7.5V
  • CHT shows a vdiv behaviour with a 1k attached BUT, no change in value, and if shorted to ground, resets the CPU and holds the CPU in a dead state :-(
Yet to test:
  • RPM0 Hall
  • RPM0 VR
  • RPM1 Hall
  • RPM1 VR
  • Everything once cracking case to fix CHT issue and putting it back together again.
So that's tomorrow's job! And once it works correctly I can solder the connector to it and post diagrams of how to wire up your loom/adaptor if you want to try it and are local.

Box unscrewed, extensive testing of CHT input performed, heavy Jaguar review done, changes suggested by me, and performed by Andy, 10 wires replaced with appropriate ones for reliability reasons, box rescrewed, and tightened up properly, with (some) confidence.

This turns out to be a design flaw in the 0.6 and earlier boards. 0.7 should have this remedied. I started reviewing it, but didn't complete yet. Perhaps it can be released tomorrow if I pull finger and complete my review of the changes.

Also I lied:
  • The value does change, but emstudio takes a while to show it due to resync of comms.
  • The CPU does not stay dead, I fooled myself in this respect.
  • CHT has 1.0uF and IAT only has 0.22uF hence no issue there. Topology thoroughly reviewed for both.
Tonight i stripped and soldered 40+ wire ends and am ready to join them together tomorrow. After that I'll swap it into the mighty hotel and see if it can handle a low-speed hall signal.

Obligatory pictures:

Dodgy wires replaced:

Nearly ready to go:

The above document lives in the glovebox and has been valuable :-D

Things to do:

1) Make high side output work via adding open collector buffer to its input, currently it's always on...
2) Add bluetooth serial via open collector buffers so I don't have a cable in the passenger footwell (all of my laptops have bt)

Maybe this: http://www.jaycar.co.nz/productView.asp?ID=ZS5807

This board is daily driving 7 days a week and reliable so far! :-)

Also need to replace a highly suspect PLL cap with the correct value, assuming it's wrong. http://stuff.fredcooke.com/jaguar.with. ... 114949.jpg this seems like it's the same as what I have in front of me in a bag, though.

Edit, in less than 15 minutes, after not using any for 7 years or so, I found 3 different caps with the correct value! :-D

Bump for ease of finding the diagram above... lame, I know. Sorry.
