12v square wave
3000rpm = 100Hz
idle = 30Hz (+-1000rpm)
So I can take that one out again an add a 2n2222.
Peugeot 2.0 Turbo on CardS12
Re: Peugeot 2.0 Turbo on CardS12
I found out it has a SL494 on the tacho (Most frenchies of this era use these). Takes 5v at the input
Re: Peugeot 2.0 Turbo on CardS12
Tried to fire up the car tonight but the timing light hardly comes on, if it does at all.
Can´t figure out just yet what is going on..
I´ve build my own FreeEMS-0.2.0-SNAPSHOT-230-g4e32dbf-DEV-MATTHIJS309T-MissingTeeth-Crank-60minus2.s19
Perhaps someone can take a look at the log file and enlighten me

Re: Peugeot 2.0 Turbo on CardS12
You shouldn't be trying to fire up the car until after you have checked the timing and have known good ignition.
Re log, "timing light doesn't come on" + "please look" = not enough, see this:

You met 4 out of 7. Missed points are:
I know the state of your car/hw more or less, but what about your ignition hardware? How about your config and tune and your attempt to diagnose it? Post again with these :-)
Fred.

And might have missed this one, or not:Log file must be accompanied by a description of state of the code, car, tune, weather, etc. You MUST tell me what you are expecting me to look for/at.
Log file must be accompanied by a self-analysis, why should I try to figure out what is going on if you will not. If you can't find anything, tell me what you tried and what you checked.
But I won't find out till the others are sorted.Log file must be generated by a firmware version that has no uncommitted changes, and that is pushed to a public Github account, or a private one that I have access to.

Re: Peugeot 2.0 Turbo on CardS12
Hi Fred,
By firing up I meant to say: In the progress of firing it up. I only did timing check (as you mentioned earlier on IRC) and it didn't work out.
It was 1 am here, the GIT merge didn't work, I posted the log on here just for a global review, perhaps a sensor was way of or missing.
For the other missing points:
Code: I'm running the vanilla brench, no mods except for the fixed tuning files, no -dev.
Tune: flat -10 degrees ignition, flat VE 60 tables, 60minus2 crank.
Weather: rainy, windy, +- 10 degrees C, dark outside
Etc: Just had my hair cut
The car is able to run on the stock ECU (which I tried also between the FreeEMS attempts)
The timing light went on for about 2 or 3 times at a random point so the ignition outputs of the EMS seem to work. Prime works.
At the IRC:
[00:22] <@malcom2073> It's getting a sync resetting every 58 teeth heh
[00:23] <@malcom2073> And every time you stop cranking, it starts working for a moment while the enigne slows down, really odd
[00:25] <@malcom2073> What resistor do you have between the two legs of the VR, + and -?
[00:25] <@malcom2073> just before the input to the MAX chip
[00:25] <Matthijs309> 5,6K 3 watt
[00:26] <@malcom2073> My car was doing something similar, fred had me move down to a 1k, and it works a lot better now
[00:27] <@malcom2073> improves the noise immunity a bit
[00:27] <@malcom2073> Worth trying
I might do that. Could it be causes by the VR + and VR - being swapped around?
I'm going to try to merge the GIT files (complains about the simeon config you added to my fork and now I can't push anymore)

I think I've uploaded/merged all to my fork:
