Very cool. I can’t wait to hook up a switch to the clutch and hack some code to make a launch control system and flat shifting.
But lots to do before that.
I can add that for you in 30 mins or so, just let me know, it would be my pleasure. I've been looking forward to adding features for a LONG time :-) IE, don't steal my icing/thunder! Otherwise I might have a tantrum, like a child :-)
I have just started to play with MegaTunix. I have an event coming up and I want to try a number of different advance curves. My plan was to set up the different curves and export them from MT. Then on the day I could import them and update the ECU. MT is not working as I expected it to. I thought that export would have sent the tables to a file and I could import a different one.
Am I doing some thing wrong.
My fall back position will be to flash new hex files with different curves.
Latest MTX built from source? From latest on recommended thread? Or latest from Dave?
You can export each table individually or save the entire config from the menu. For your purposes, single table export will be the clear winner as loading it will be WAY quicker and it's human readable and thus tweakable on the day with vi or whatever.
People say that both work. I've not personally tried either. I expect that you're doing something wrong.
He recently started work/destabilisation on project style use. So you might find the files in mtx/projects/default/* or similar.
Your best bet re tuning is to develop a WOT curve that doesn't knock with your normal fuel by gradually increasing timing and doing WOT runs while listening for pinging. Make sure the engine is racing-hot while doing this, or do it at normal temps and then pull a degree or two everywhere.
Are you doing of have you done a "DET can" setup? (bolt, tube, modified earmuffs)
