El programa «java» puede encontrarse en los siguientes paquetes:
* default-jre
* gcj-4.6-jre-headless
* openjdk-6-jre-headless
* gcj-4.5-jre-headless
* openjdk-7-jre-headless
Intente: sudo apt-get install <paquete seleccionado>

sudo: java: orden no encontrada

You need to apt-get install openjdk-8-jre and NOT the headless variety, either. Furthermore, the app contains code that refuses to run as root. IE, never ever ever (jamas!) run user space apps as root (usando sudo). openjdk-7-jre is fine too. 6 will work. I didn't try 9 yet.

openjdk-7-jre ya está en su versión más reciente.
Los paquetes indicados a continuación se instalaron de forma automática y ya no son necesarios.
thunderbird-globalmenu gir1.2-ubuntuoneui-3.0 firefox-globalmenu
libubuntuoneui-3.0-1
Utilice «apt-get autoremove» para eliminarlos.
0 actualizados, 0 se instalarán, 0 para eliminar y 241 no actualizados.
