Differences Between TunerStudio and MegaTune

Post by Fred »

Jean, I heard that you use TunerStudio for your ms2e sequential branch, why is that, what is the difference in configurability that means you can't use MegaTune for that? Is it still configured by msq and ini files? If not, then what?

Are you keeping Dave up to date with that branch so users can run mtx against it?

Would it be possible for Dave to include ms3 support simply based on reading the configuration files that TunerStudio uses?

I'm just a little concerned for the welfare of those Buying MS3 units that might get left out in the cold with respect to some TunerStudio versions and/or be inundated with nasty popups.

"Great effort has been put into insuring minimal hardware dependencies" - ensuring?!?!?!? Crikey. It always upsets me when I find out that the authors of software I use don't have a basic grasp on the English language, let alone the language that the software is implemented in.

Yuck, I was just going to cache the 0.999 rc1 version for the benefit of future users and then noticed that he time limits older releases and that this new one is functionality limited. Older threads of releases seem to have been deleted. If anyone has an older 0995 or 0994 release that they want to share with the ms3 community, feel free to send it my way.

And yes, this post is off-topic, sorry.

Nevermind, I read the blurb and it states ini extensions are what is used. One must presume that you could read one of these ini's and determine how to write other code to interface with the thing.
