Two ecu manufactures to add to the list

I personally will be recommeding the LPC4 ecu as my expereince with it and the software has been hugely positive. The tuning software is easy and fast to use, setup well for tuning on the fly with shortcuts. Hihgly configurable map axis, changable X and Y table values, 16x16, 14x18, 18x14, etc However you need to setup your values, high rpm N\A car, high boost car, etc. Fast datalogging, Tons of logged variables, able to tell what is where as the input voltages are shown as well, can tell if you wired the sensor up to the correct channel.

Updating firmware is quick and painless. Native USB connection, No worrying about serial\usb adapter settings.
It also has a onboard 4 Bar map sensor though I used a external sensor instead.
plus many more things that put it high up on my recommend list.

Feel free to do a full screen-shot loaded review in a dedicated thread in this section, Hentai.

Mostly, though, what I hear is "Write a good tuner, ASAP" :-) This is the core of what a user actually deals with, and something I should have pushed hard on since the start. Woops.

I believe SCS-Delta is http://www.specialist-components.co.uk/
With the delta range replacing the old typhoon, Tornado, hurricane ECU range.

hi,
I use very often the ecu Van Kronenburg Autosport MP25 for my clients.
It is very simple.
There is a possibility to variable launch by portentiomerter very use on race car .
And there is a mapping box : it is a box with a potentiometer for advance and one for injection, with a push button to validate the setting. i use it on the bench for mapping.

That can be interesting to add on freeems ??

I've actually asked Fred about this, as DTAfast does the same - also has an engine kill button which is handy to keep ECU online but stop engine. I love using the mapping box, so quick to tune on dyno.

And my reply was that it would be trivial to implement in software, and you could use one of those GPIO style devices to feed the software, or just an RPI or something like that.

Engine kill, no worries. Plenty of spare die bits available.

Mode where it uses nearest cell instead of interpolating, and knob controls nearest cell, not too hard, but not super simple, either.

Mode where it makes weighted change and it's up to dyno man to put you in the cell, much easier to do.

Your fueling knob would need a mode switch for "trim lambda" or "calibrate VE" because that DTA box is a PW box IIRC.

Good to see you still lurking :-)

Fred, have you heard of Rusefi? I suppose its short for Russian EFI? It has an LCD screen and a joystick for no PC tuning and its installed in an old OEM case....Uses an stm34f4discovery shield. No idea of its competency, that's your call.

Yeah, he's on here :-) Will likely drop in soon.

I'll keep most of my thoughts to myself, but a read through some of his dev threads for a sampling of bugs found on people's engine is entertaining, I'll say that much. I certainly wouldn't use it on anything valuable, that's for sure.

He's more of a marketing and business person than a good dev IMO, but I'm dead certain he'll disagree. :-)
