Do these positive comments for the LPC4 still stand- tough to find info on performance?

I personally will be recommeding the LPC4 ecu as my expereince with it and the software has been hugely positive. The tuning software is easy and fast to use, setup well for tuning on the fly with shortcuts. Hihgly configurable map axis, changable X and Y table values, 16x16, 14x18, 18x14, etc However you need to setup your values, high rpm N\A car, high boost car, etc. Fast datalogging, Tons of logged variables, able to tell what is where as the input voltages are shown as well, can tell if you wired the sensor up to the correct channel.

Updating firmware is quick and painless. Native USB connection, No worrying about serial\usb adapter settings.
It also has a onboard 4 Bar map sensor though I used a external sensor instead.
plus many more things that put it high up on my recommend list.

FWIW, Baldur, maker of that device, is a very smart cookie with a lot of real world experience. He's not perfect, but it's almost certainly pretty good. And you'd get first hand support cause it's just him. I'm not one for closed-source stuff, but you could do a LOT worse than his stuff IMO (disclaimer: zero first hand experience with his devices).

I'm back in the market for an inexpensive unit after bailing on a sub performing/over charging tuning shop. Have a simple turbocharged 4 cyl with LS coils, looking at Microsquirt and the GM 0411 (not sure how boost control would work on the 0411) I do like the re purposed oem ecu's, not really interested in building one- looking to find one under $1k. Thanks for the reference above- is the LPC4 is it home grown or evolved off of Megasquirt. BTW I'm using a DynamicEFI unit on a GM application- another one man show, good product for the price.

Maybe I missed seeing these on your list. Dynamic is niche in older GM vehicle but is inexpensive and has lasted years in my truck TBI to MPFI (batch) application.

Anybody here with positive Link experience?

I have a vender with a new old stock Link G3, I understand it can be upgraded to G4---what kind of product do you end up with? Unit with harness is $700cdn, G4 upgrade I'm thinking $225cdn.

Translation: Everyone in New Zealand (with thick small-town accents) runs Link ECUs on their modified cars. It's mostly fine, but not for me.

With my Canadian accent...

I'm probably going to answer my own question, I have a habit of trying to fix older gear and it ends up costing close to buying the new stuff.

Comments of Link going 'cold turkey' put me off as well.

Yeah, the M$ tuning model and tuner app are unacceptable, for a start.

Then there's the dubious claims of ample performance from the device. Dubious.

Would I run it? No. Is it neat/cool? Yes. Toy spec, though, IMO.
