Pros:
Easy to setup
No noise or glitches
Nice launch - deltaRpm traction control (good for drag racing)
Cons:
No boost control
No low-z injector control
No real 3d maps ... it uses 2 2D arrays to create some sort of 3d ... Fuel vs RPM combined Fuel vs MAP ...
Expensive
Pc conection is only possible using Fueltech specific Can cable wich is really expesive ...

Thanks!
Fred.
Based on "no 3d" I'm voting for it! That's not OK.molak wrote:Cons:
No boost control - no big deal
No low-z injector control - normal in 2013

Expensive - standard proprietary pricing
Pc conection is only possible using Fueltech specific Can cable wich is really expesive ... - yuck, but normal

Redline R882C / Panthera 034 added to list with zero. Any comments/knowledge welcome.

Software looks pretty simplistic, and some of the features shown look to be named averagely:

Sounds like they know what they're talking about (good sign) but looks pretty limited for a brand new product with a retail price tag.

Re: Standalones That You Would Never Use
Came across this locally designed ecu called Spitronics.
What fascinated me was their use of an idle jet/main jet analogy for fuel tuning. I'm incredulous but have yet to get to look at one to see if it as bad as it sounds.
It also seems to have a series of superimposed 2D maps. No wide band support afaik.
On the plus side it is very reasonably priced and customers are not complaining.
See if I can find out more.
Manuals are online so you can get an idea.

Re: Standalones That You Would Never Use
The standard of English on that page and in their docs is a bit shocking... "faze" instead of phase, etc.
There are some good things that illustrate understanding, similar to the above one, but some things are lacking. What surprises me the most is the "6 outputs, choose ign or fuel" just like current FreeEMS. I'd NEVER try to market the current setup to a customer, though. That's obscene :-/
And yeah, the tuning method is SNAFU, and just earned it a vote from me.
Fred.

Added. These look pretty serious. Still, could never use a closed source system again, period.fred. one more for your list. http://www.syvecs.co.uk/products/
