ANY feature that implements anything like this will not be put in the official ms2/extra code. We are not OK with ms3 features and ideas being reimplemented in ms2. Idle stuff and filters are OK because they are "fixes" for existing problems on existing code. Entirely new features are not.

Ahhhh CA7, did I mention that I love you? :-) :-D

That's not surprising. The MS3 platform is locked down and more difficult to clone, or so they say. Thus they want to maintain the attraction to that, which they are more likely to make money from over adding it to the old MS2 stuff which they also don't get a cut of the sales from like they DO with MS3.

Every time they do something like this I rub my hands together and smile.

Idiots.

Fred.

"If MS2extra was allowed to be all it could be then MS3 sales would drop, everything is about that, surely others have spotted this 'elephant in the room' ?"

Ding ding ding, we have a winner :-)

I feel a bit sorry for them, though they always had the option of doing something else.

Fred.

CA7, can you confirm that those threads have been heavily edited/censored please? I _always_ save copies of threads like that and, if they have, would like to publish the original material for a bit of transparency. Dirty sneaky bastards...

Trust them to not only be poor programmers, but to also be poor moderators. If you split a thread, it's best for everyone to put a link to the new thread in the old one. I can't help them with that, but here is the update:

Also cached. If you'd like to see the original one with original post ordering etc, let me know.

A while ago I wrote this quoted post, and the same day, I got an email from James about it. I baited him a bit, and in a round about way, he admitted a few things. I hope that if Bruce finds out about this it doesn't result in any trouble for James. But, if it does, fuck him, he's been a cock recently anyway.

Snips due to two topics in the same series of emails.

Another point though, I read your comments on your forum in reply to ca7
and they are fairly accurate (except for the idiots bit.)

MS3 is indeed commercial and the code is copyrighted. That's life. I
need to earn a living somehow. The bills won't pay themselves.

So basically we don't want people taking our work "for free" and putting
it onto MS2.

Jame

Secondly, can I take what you said to mean that you and Ken don't get a cut of MS2 sale proceeds?

Fred.

Pardon the oblique response, but I can't directly answer that, please
refer to a quote from Bruce:

Can I take those comments to mean that you're contractually obliged to not divulge the terms of your financial arrangement with B&G?

None required.

To me, at least, that constitutes clear proof that it's a back door deal. Hence the secrecy, mandated by B&G in writing, and not because they're shy or ashamed, though, perhaps that too.

Apologies for the delay in posting this info. I thought it was slightly inappropriate to share it like this. However James has lost all respect recently, as has Jean, which is sad. Jean showed some promise before, even if James and Ken never did. Jean has now filtered both Peter and I from his email account, and James is refusing to be honest about one simple thing. Perhaps that's contractually required too, who knows. Curiously, only a few hours after I made the BrickRPM announcement I got an email from Jean too. I was respectful and helpful and made some corrections and adjustments for accuracy, and also solely to keep him happy. I never got a reply when I let him know that I'd made the changes. Pretty rude, really. Not what I once expected from Jean, but very much along the lines of the rest of them. It resembles some sort of engine (mis)management mafia more and more every day.

Fred.

More accurately, Peter was a complete cock in a tmail(troll mail), and made Jean cry.

I found it quite funny. Apparently they're all running short on humour at the moment, though. I do have to admit, funny as it was, it was pretty, shall we say, stiff? :-o
