hey, fred said to post this up here to see if anyone can help me. so i'm trying to run the newest version of MSextra on my MS2 v3 board. i can get the software loaded onto the board fine but the copy ini file isnt working to put the proper file into megatune? i'm gonna try a slightly older version but does anyone have any other ideas? i'm not much of a computer person so all and any help will be muchly appreciated thanks

take this file :

fred@rwdlsd:~/.wine.new/drive_c/Program Files/MegaSquirt/MegaTune2.25/mtCfg/megasquirt-II.ini

and move it to this :

fred@rwdlsd:~/.wine.new/drive_c/Program Files/MegaSquirt/MegaTune2.25/mtCfg/megasquirt-II.ini.old

then take the one that came with the rc2c download and move it to here :

fred@rwdlsd:~/.wine.new/drive_c/Program Files/MegaSquirt/MegaTune2.25/mtCfg/megasquirt-II.ini

and you are done :-)

hey so i got the software working (i think its fine?) but now i have all the settings the same as before...i'm pretty sure they're the same and now my spark outputs are kind of messed up? i'm running it with 2 outputs for a wasted spark 4cyl setup. now on my stim it shows the main output (the one used if just running one coil) blinks twice as much as the second output for the other coil? its set up for 36-1 on the crank and thats the signal my jim stim is putting out. any help would be much apreciated thanks

If one of your outputs was an LED once, then I bet one of them is still working like that for whatever setting reason. You most likely only have one configured as spark, OR, another different one as your second spark or something, definitely a config issue though IMO :-)

ok figured it out, i set the primary out put on js10 insted of d14. switched it and all is working perfect now :D
