Dave has got certain aspects of MS2 support into MTX. He claims in a thread on msefi.com that he will have it ready before the MegaMeet in a few weeks. This is awesome news for any MS2 user, as let's face it, MT isn't all that good for normal use.
Just thought you might like to know :-)

Wow thats cool.
What do you mean when you say 'not that good for normal use'? What is normal use? So what is it good for?

It's good for prototyping because it is very flexible config wise... almost too flexible config wise.
Yet at the same time, it's rather hard coded in many ways too. In order for us to use it for eg we need to be able to create our own set of serial definitions so we don't run into legal trouble with B&G. I'm not sure if that is possible or not.
The ini files are huge and touchy.
I started to get the hang of playing around with it a bit at one point, but I didn't get all that deep before it slipped on the priority list.
MT is usable, and I've used it quite a few times, as have you I'm sure. It has some advantages, but it has other majorish disadvantages.
One of them is that it is a visual studio project, so we can't fix it for our selves without M$ VS.
MTX on the other hand is GTK based and compilable on anything.
But back to the point, yes, it is very cool!! Thanks a million Dave if you are reading this!
