STC, sorry for stepping in here, but you need to let these guys know that it is NOT appropriate NOR is it OK to use or even talk about using megasquirt stuff in your code base, or on non megasquirt hardware. I understand that it's unclear to English speakers that MegaSquirt is NOT open source and NOT free at all, let alone Russian online translations, but I assure you, there is NO free megasquirt stuff, period.

Besides which, it is disgusting to see ms algorithms being discussed when they are substandard in the first place. Copy mine, if you wish, the license is compatible, or start from scratch for your compiler/cpu arch, do NOT copy the ms ones, as if you do, I may have to remove the secu3 stuff from the site, and i do NOT want to do that.

Understand that this is serious business and legal rights in the US need to be respected whether they make sense or not and whether or not you or I can be punished for abusing them (I can't, not in NZ, but it's still wrong to do it...). Talking about and integrating their ideas in your code jeopardises the entire site and all projects on it including FreeEMS! Please get these guys to respect my wishes and develop this stuff from scratch, it's not difficult.

Additionally, can you ask them to clean up their posts removing megasquirt code, algorithms and ideas, such that I don't have to be heavy handed and edit the posts myself? I trust that you can properly understand my position on this, and convey it to your guys clearly.

Фред не русскоговорящий. STC объяснит всё подробнее, но смысл такой, что мегасквирт - комерческий проект, и нам за его обсуждение может попасть. Ну или не нам, а Фреду, это его форум. Надо потереть посты, где выложены алгоритмы мегасквирта, либо он это сделает.

Согласен с Fred. Обсуждение вопросов связанных с не Open source проектом на на сайте для Open source мягко говоря некорректно. Лично у меня никогда не было желания копировать код и идеи из MegaSquirt (для себя не нашел там ничего интересного). Предлагаю больше не обсуждать и даже не упоминать на этом сайте MegaSquirt. Отредактируйте свои сообщения и удалите код относящийся к megaSquirt из своих сообщений.
Необходимо понимать что речь идет о серьезном бизнесе и законах действующих в США. И их нужно соблюдать независимо от того имеют ли они для вас смысл или нет. В противном случае страдает репутация владельцев сайта, размещенных проектов и у них могут возникнуть проблемы. Модератор просит вас уважать правила принятые на этом сайте.

Thanks STC! Just to be clear (I don't know how good a job google did of turning that into English for me...) It's OK to talk about MegaSquirt, esp things that are wrong with it, and how to do it better, or even user level features, etc, but not about copying their ideas or copying their code or running their code on other hardware. For the purposes of talking about megasquirt for its own sake (if you own one or out of interest), there is the non-free section of the site especially designed for this. Thanks for your understanding on this issue, STC, I appreciate it very much.

С кодовой базой понятно, а с математикой как быть?
тоже здесь не обсуждать, это законами в USA не запрещено?
математика обсуждалась не у мегасквирта а у разработчиков ручных прошивок для января и микаса.

Тебе никто не запрещает изучать как работает MegaSquirt, обсуждать математику, его недостатки и т.д. Имелось ввиду что на этом сайте нальзя обсуждать исходные тексты и вопросы связанные с "тупым" повторением MegaSquirt.

я вроде не собираюсь тупо драть мегасквирт - нужно просто хорошо видеть где какие грабли и как их огородили те или иные создатели.
сам только впрыск, зажигалка отстроена на мпсз-зш, думаю впрыск сам довести до ума. именно моно чтобы не морочиться с впускным патрубком или тем более с голоовой (змз-402).

Да, ещё - МS1-MS2 закрыт лицензиями или ещё как? (я знаю про ВЕМС - МС-3 - закрытый проект)
но так-же был открытый проект у Паши (mpsz-zh) до 4 версии, и 5 он пропустил и 6-7, дпкв-1, мпсз2 - у него закрытые.
по поводу первых 4-х у него никаких вопросов, если в настроении и есть время консультирует и по 4-ой.
хотя она уже от его кода сильно ушла.
