I got her hooked up to the CAS, not properly decoding(yet) but it still looks cool in action.

Sweet, you'll be rocking in no time. The beauty is that your decoder does not rely on time to decode so you can test the logic at hand movement speeds. Cool :-)

Still searching for ways to get an interrupt from the 8-bit PA.

I also posted a question on the Freescale forum about this. Hopefully something will turn up.

According to the docs the A and B overflow interrupts operate the same whether you overflow the upper (or lower?) byte yourself or whether it is overflowed via the other byte overflowing into it. I believe you should enable the one you need (on pin 1 IIRC) and set to 8 bit, not 16 and it should just work TM.

Thanks Fred,
So set the value after each overflow to 251 so in another 5 edges it will interrupt again. I'll give it a shot.

Got the same response from the thread I started on the Freescale forum :)

Any luck in completing this piece of work?

I need this for a knock moniotr whic has to do integration between 10btdc and 50 atdc.

Can any onetell me how much degrees the leading edge of the trigger signal is bfore tdc.

I am thinking of using a PIC microcontroller to decode the signal using external interrupts , a counter
and time compareinterrupts.

Anyone knows the pattern for vg30 and vg33 engines?
