Post by KLAS »

as it seems that i will have some time on hand to start playing around with FreeEMS in the near future i have to ask:

as i mostly work with british cars that uses a own trigger pattern a decoder would be very helpfull.

Seems to hot-link OK, so no drama, I guess. If you can get your own original one later and attach it to this thread, that'd be good. :-)

I'd describe that pattern as a hybrid of sorts. I can imagine how to implement it, however I will need some time to get it to happen. Sorry about that! Too many other priorities at the moment.

Good to have it as a reference, though. I need to create an index of patterns to threads in this section.

finally i managed to take a pic

tried to mark the rotation and sensor position at TDC cylinder 1.

luckily i'm not in a hurry as i found another engine with a 36-1 trigger i fitted to the crankshaft long ago and if i looked right there is a decoder for this pattern. so i will start with this and switch to the 36-1-1-1-1 when a decoder is available.
seems to be time to describe my project car(s) soon i guess
