Circuit REQUIREMENTS For ALL Decoders!

Post by Fred »

Please note that ALL decoders are ONLY guaranteed to work correctly when passed through an inversion circuit on the way in. The standard circuit for this is a variant of the max99xx chip series. LM1815 can also work for VR stuff and a simple NOT gate can work for hall/optical stuff if you are happy that the signal is clean.

Likewise, if you're writing a decoder for whatever platform, and you should probably just tell me that you need one, I can do it faster, then make sure it is developed against the correct circuit topology.
