Optical CAS thread, previous discussions in this thread, splitting off into individual threads for each 360 variant.

I've done a bit of work on this recently, and it's now good enough to run a car, and pretty nicely. If you have a clean signal and good wiring, this will work flawlessly. If you have noise, you'll lose sync (duh!). It could do with some minor changes to the sync loss tolerance aspect, but otherwise it's pretty complete. Hooray.
