Dividing the 360 degree sensor is definitely necessary, thats the only way I would do it.

It would seem that the V8 Disk could be converted to a 24 event by firing two 15 count compare matches (software event) between each falling edge of the inner slot (which should be evenly spaced on the disk), along with those 8 falling edge events. This would provide 24 equally spaced events.

Ive been looking over the code a tiny bit the last couple days, very nice work Fred, man, you have put tons of time into this already. Im getting familiar with the C and beginning to understand where everything is at and how it works. I wont have the hardware for a while but ill be looking into helping. :)

Thank you very much! :-) It helps keep me motivated when I get comments like that. I'm still unhappy about quite a few things though. Various style aspects are inconsistent and the comments are too verbose and detract in places. Feel free to file even petty bug reports on me on the sourceforge tracker! I won't take offence I promise!

ignition demultiplexer code is a bit sensitive at the moment, I am considering marketing it as a completed unit  there isnt really much to tweak with it anyways its just a logic box.

Is it just me or does the enhanced capture timer lack a pin counter function? Output compare is based on prescaled free-running timer only??

If thats the case you will have to count/compare with software like you were originally, i guess..

You could still market it, even if you made it OS. 85% of your market isn't willing to take the DIY route anyway.

And there is nothing wrong with closed source stuff either! Don't feel any pressure, it's cool! :-)

As usual you need to cut+paste, but notice where link on MS forum is pointing to. :)

Lets see how long before they notice. Dave posting about his noise floor fixes has been working out quite well. Good on you Dave.

To bad the poster didn't post it as a hidden URL. If they had, I'd bet that would take the msefi admin much longer to find.

I found the cut and paste thing in IE sucked. My first try had a bunch of %20 junk in it. The link worked after I got the right link to work out. Stupid lance rumble groan moan.
