Wheels purchased! Steel, 15", centre bore looks big enough, offset looks OK. If they don't fit perfectly, I can modify them, it's not that difficult. Will pickup ASAP.
Also found that tins that contain the ingredients for brewing beer are straight-sided and suitable for flow testing, too. Good stuff.

Wheels fitted! Back rub slightly on heavy compression. Front rubbed mucho on any compression, so put the crappy ones back on there, for now. Remembered some tyres I bought 15 years ago for ~100nzd 185/55R15, dug one out, need to get the other freed from it's current prison. Will swap on smaller tyres for the front, and be happy. Car feels like it's on rails compared to before LOL. 13" == fail.
Also dug out a variac and my massive power supply and 2 Farads of capacitance ready for injector testing. Tried to create a fuel inlet setup, failed. Will keep trying until success.

Front tyres swapped, new wheels fitted to front, no rubbing there, took it for a blast, hitting near-skyline speeds through my favourite stretches!!! Exciting! :-D Loving it.
Also paid Tony Lynch of LynchBuilt a visit today, and he helped me tap my fuel rail for the fitting em_knaps supplied! Fuel testing imminent! :-)

Had a big tidy up today, and eventually found my tube of thread sealant. So I cleared the swarf out of the fuel rail and fitted the hose barb up to it. I also screwed that rail down onto the throttle body with injectors in place ready for testing.
I will attempt to do some basic testing tomorrow, IE, fuel flow at rail pressure (whatever it is) and various supply voltages. Injector testing can come after that.

Tomorrow I may get the time to fully flow test and dead-time test the suckers. Fingers crossed.

I was over near a mate's place last night and did a bit of rough MIG welding for the mighty hotel: A light-duty swappable tow-bar setup compatible with vehicle #2, the reddest truck in town. Reuse, even in hardware. The tow ball part slides out, and the bolt comes from below (on the hotel, above on truck) to clamp it in place. It has one bolt forward to provide some basic bracing, and three welded pickup points at the rear onto the towing ring. I've run a similar setup in the past and abused it heavily and had no issues. I acknowledge that it's not very strong, but it'll only be used for light trailers anyway, no towing boats etc.
I also picked up a box of connectors for the Jaguar, however I left them behind where I was welding, so I'll have to grab them tomorrow arvo when I finish off the tow-bar job.

We'll see where tomorrow takes me. The old red friend will come out in its own good time ;-) No rush, like cheese, good things take time. Also like cheese, stuff done in a hurry is usually shit. The current hold up on this is figuring out how to get a stable voltage for injector testing. I think what I'll do is:

- Decide on a minimum off period. 5 - 10ms or so.
- Decide on a duty to match that at the smallest PW. 50/50 or so.
- Maintain that constant duty during the test. See above.
- Load the supply ~10x harder than the injector such that having it on/off makes little difference to voltage.
- Load new firmware that returns numbers on stop such that I can see what it got up to.
- Update my tooling to display BenchTest packets in detail.
- Resume testing.
