This is kind of interesting.

Give it 12V, an injector, and spark, and you have small engine 16 bit control.

Re: MC233812
you must be on all the mailing lists too this has been in the works for a loong time ... google 'sea breeze emulator' - I have a powerpoint from over a year ago on this chip. theres also some youtube videos on an air engine they ran using some of the proto boards for this.
the problem is that freescale makes these products for oem's - so they get first crack at them and they'll eventually (if at all) will reach consumers up to a year later .. I've been waiting for the 56xx series for at least that long and my local rep took it a step further and told me that they never intend on releasing it to the public .. its just the industry that were in, high volumes of these specialized products go to those who can front the money first.

I don't seem to be on many e-mail lists. I saw that device advertised in a magizine. Thought I'd post about it here as a design that other might find interesting.

We're playing around with one of these:

Similar in concept to the 33812 mentioned here, but with more ports and less accessorial stuff.

Re: MC233812
Just found this:
http://www.freescale.com/files/analog/d ... 2_P812.pdf
ECU on a chip - single or twin cylinders only.
Interesting for some applications. Single cylinder offroad bikes come to mind, integration of ECU (and most sensors ...) in throttlebody.
