My Chevy TBI project.

Post by jknightandkarr »

I hope that its not an issue for this but I'm planning to build my own Chevy TBI ecm but I'd like to use a different microcontroller. I'm planning on using the Propeller microcontroller, or maybe the still being designed the new 16 core Propeller X microcontroller. I am trying to learn exactly what the factory ecm does and design a factory replacement before doing mods I have planned. My mods are adding a DIS system like the LS1 uses along with individual cylinder timing, maybe individual gear timing maps. Possibly a 4L60E trans control modual to the TBI unit.

Peter did his own propeller based ECU before switching to FreeEMS :-) It's a good learning experience, but a lot of work. There was another propeller based ECU out there, too. Search the forum and you should find a few references to these projects.
