haha, i was so driven to get these to work, I DID! took me about 2hrs total. It is amazing what a geek can do once driven
in action..
notice the de-daughtered v3 board - i am using it only for rs232 - TTL level conversion (so ironic and ghetto, but that was the only means of conversion at the time)
also notice where the power is coming from (a bit hard to see, but it's coming from inside the computer case, 4pin connector into 2pin 5v header, baby) - ghetto/lazy prototyping at its best
software i found after about 5min googling on some german website (even software is in german but i guess i reverse engineered it)
i am impressed with the unit so far - bright sunlight readability for about $12 - not bad!
